Bill Anderson eventually accumulated numerous hits, which he is still known for today, such as "Po' Folks" (No.9 in 1961), "Mama Sang a Song" (his first No. 1, from 1962), "8 X 10" (No. 2, 1963), "I Get The Fever (No.1 in 1966). Anderson recorded his biggest hit and signature song, the partly spoken ballad "Still," in 1963, and it not only topped the country charts, but crossed over as well. The song climbed to No. 8 on the pop chart, as well as No. 3 on the adult contemporary chart.

Lynn Anderson; the daughter of country songwriters Liz and Casey Anderson was born on September 26th, 1947 in Grand Fork North Dakota. Her mother Liz Anderson wrote "All My Friends Are Gonna Be Strangers", which became a top 10 hit in 1965. Subsequently, Liz Anderson signed a record deal as a recording artist with RCA Victor that same year. When following her mother to Nashville, Anderson had a informal sing-along at a local hotel room where country stars Merle Haggard and Freddie Hart were present. One of the people also present at the sing-along, was Slim Williamson, owner of Chart Records. Once Williamson heard Lynn Anderson's talent, he invited her to record for his label. She began recording for Chart in 1966.
It wasn't until her third release that she charted a single named "Ride, Ride, Ride" in 1966. A year later, "If I Kiss You (Will You Go Away)" hit No.5. After several other hits, Anderson became a regular performer on "The Lawrence Welk Show", which widened her popularity even more. In 1970, Anderson signed with Columbia Records which released her major hit and signature song "(I Never Promised You A) Rose Garden". After Rose Garden, Anderson's career took off, scoring another 10 No.1 hits, and charting dozens more songs. Anderson's latest recording was "Cowgirl II" which was released on Showboat Records in March 2010. Today, Lynn Anderson continues to entertain thousands, as she tours regularly.
